Together with AAIQU, I came up with an innovative concept for the purpose of allowing young people to contribute to the enhancement of their own borough (Bos & Lommer in Amsterdam). Through WWWPleinbios these youngsters were able to organize a film festival consisting of web films, all on their own. They could choose to be a curator, a director or a producer. Each role took part in the event, so it became a real crowdsourcing experience.

The Bos & Lommer Youth Council (co creator) then selected a collection of films from all entries to be shown at a large open-air cinema on September 26th, 2009. 'In public’, the participants presented their films to each other and in the course of that experienced a great sense of solidarity. Small groups of young people merged into one large group as they shared an interest in the same kind of films and inspired each other by exchanging films that were new and unfamiliar to the other. New contacts were made and above all there was plenty of opportunity for laughter and hilarity.
