The Zuiderzeemuseum (a open-air museum that displays the fishing culture around the former Zuiderzee) wanted to leave a lasting impression on visitors during the Amsterdam Museum Night. As curator for New Media, I therefore developed an innovative concept in collaboration with AAIQU.

For this concept, I was awarded a Gouden Reiger (Golden Heron) for excellence in the field of target group communication through audiovisual and/or interactive media. During the Amsterdam Museum Night, a floating museum piece projected parts of the Zuiderzeemuseum’s digital collection onto the Amsterdam canal side houses. People that were lining up to visit the museums were entertained by “playing” with the collection in an especially-designed slot machine which allowed them to win prizes by mixing the digital collection at the push of a button.
